I shall be watching the second half of Day of the Triffids tonight, not because the first half was good, it wasn't. I thought it was laughably bad, but because it is an excellent thing to watch in company where there can be mockery, plant innuendo and giant tins of sweeties. (we have to use up the giant tins of sweeties somehow!)

Also, I needed Yuletide recs and you lovely people are providing. Is it terribly lazy of me that I rely on my wonderful flist every year to point me towards the awesome stuff rather than trawling for myself. Yes, yes I think it is, but I love you for your Yuletide recs, I really do. If I forget to comment, thank you!

In other news, have some mini reviews of the games I've been playing instead of all that other stuff I should have been doing.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! Or alternatively a fantastic 25th of December! Yay for December in general!

I'm currently breakfasting on coffee and Ferrero Rocher, because it's pretty much the only time I can get away with it. My dog is laying a little way away, slowly digesting the rubber and plastic that used to be her Christmas toy. She never learns her lesson. There's only that brief period of frenzied and terribly excited destruction, followed by regret and indigestion.

I'm also currently listening to the general sound of people complaining that they've eaten too much, though still asking if there's any of the really delicious things left, while I work on resisting the sales. I don't need anything, honest I don't, I don't care how cheap it is!

It's far too icy to go out, I have to stay at home and be on the internet. I have to!  I've finished all my presents for people from my Christmas post, which was a lot of fun. So much holiday love for you guys! Though I shall probably stop spamming my fic journal now until after Christmas. I'll just continue to secretly indulge in my new obsession with Gabriel/Sam.

The theme at comment_fic  today is solo, and though that clearly means prompts with one person in them it kind of makes me want to write - yeah, it makes me want to write that. Mwhahahaha!

I have a gaming question I'm curious about. So I shall put it to you my wonderfully clever flist. When you get an easy kill on a boss: for instance he gets stuck behind some scenery and you can shoot him/stab him until he dies without him hurting you.

Tao Tea Leaf opened up on the weekend. It's on Yonge between Rosedale & Yonge/Bloor stations. As the name suggests, it's all Chinese teas. (EDIT: but they're also like a cafe/snack joint in that they have bubble tea & cookies)

I have, like, ten photos from DTAC. I'm going to be honest: I mainly went to see people and run around in a giant purple costume badly wrapped in Christmas lights.

lol I come back and already I miss a day! Although this was more of a planned miss anyway. Mainly because while I totally have something for day 20, I have no recipe so eh. As for day 20... I'd say watching videos--whether this be television shows, movies, japanese dramas, variety shows, as of lately Craig Ferguson... That's what I spend SO MUCH of my time doing that it's pretty ridiculous really. lol And still I love it lots and lots (hell, if I didn't think to put episodes of Craig Ferguson on my iPod, today's work day would have gone by MUCH MORE SLOWLY). :D And in second place is definitely fandom. What else do I spend the rest of my time doing? (Well, as of lately that's actually gaming, but ignoring that.) Fandom is all around me~ I practically breathe it with my daily routines. :D

And as I said above, no recipe. Because... I just don't cook. (And I almost wrote I don't coke. XD)

In general though! Let's talk about what's been happening. Yesterday, Prodigal Daughter (who I'm sure you all remember XD) and her family and her boyfriend came to our house to eat dinner. Obviously there was that rush to clean, to get the food ready, to not kill myself over her existence (kidding, kidding). I managed not to be around most of the time: 1) because I had no idea what to do around them all, 2) there wasn't enough space for me at the dinner table anyway and 3) right after dinner, they were watching Inglorious Bastards in the living room while I was upstairs watching Craig Ferguson (am I saying his name a lot? If yes, then that pretty much shows my obsession :D). And then they left while I was going to bed because, whoops. I had work the next day. lol Also, didn't really care much about her being there because 1) I looked cute that day! I got many compliments. I mean, from my mom is nothing, but I also got one from her mom! I was very pleased. And 2) ...well... her boyfriend's not that cute. I NEVER SAID THAT. XD :BEAMS:

As for today, it was a longlonglong work day. SIGH. Re-labeling files sucks ass, just so you guys know. Plus most of this morning was spent traveling back and forth between here at 56th on the East side to Port Authority at 42nd on the West side. Can we say annoying? And I only have myself to blame. Funnily enough though, on my first trip over there, I was like... ahhh, should I go to Cafe Zaiya and get something to eat? I decided no and went back to work. But then, I had to go again so I folded and went over. I mean, once is whatever, but twice? That's gotta be a sign, right? lol Other than that, it's been a boring day. Labeling, typing, filing, multiple paper cuts. A life in the day. lol And now, I'm off to go enjoy some alcoholic beverages with friends. Talk to everyone later!

I was almost too lazy to post today. I kind of still am, but whatever. Talent, talent... The ability to read something pervertedly even if it's nowhere close to it? lol kidding kidding (well, not entirely. I can do that most of the time.) Um, I can kind of roll my tongue. It's usually in a U shape, right? Except I do it sideways so it's more of a C shape. lol My sisters are so jealous of me. XD

Today was LET'S DO SHIT DAY. And that's exactly what I did. Watched a LOT of Craig Ferguson episodes (I love that man. He is ridiculous and hysterical and is not embarrassed to make fun of himself. constantly. and bashing on CBS even though that's the network he's on. lol). Also decided to go on a game dling spree and currently have 20 games on my harddrive. when am I going to have the time to play all of them? i don't even know, but they're there and i am thoroughly distracted. Not to mention I should be CLEANING MY ROOM. My mom's bff is coming over tomorrow and er... ...I can at least say it'll be marginally clean by then. lol (AKA things will be hidden in my closet AHA!)

...That said, I think I'm going to go play some game now. :D

- I totally meant to come back today. It just so happens that happy things got posted today! :DDDD Such as, OH, MY GIFT!FIC FROM je_holiday. College Still-Life (Higher Education, Eat Your Heart Out). OMG, SO MUCH FUN GUYS. I love it so much. Just read my comment! :D I'm especially happy that OMG, they said I had a fun and flexible request. I think that's the best part because I want my writer to have fun writing my gift!fic and not stressing. as;dkfjaldskfj SO YES, I WAS VERY HAPPY. :DDDDDDDDDDD You don't even know~ Plus the writing was great, the characters were hysterical, I love the view of their college lives. AND GUYS, COLLEGE!AU. Yes, there should be more.
- Speaking of fic! Peyton had a drabble prompt post the other day, and of COURSE I jumped on it. AND SHE TOTALLY DELIVERED. The first one was to the prompt mail's piled up on the side table and it was lovely and painful and omg, wibbly me towards Jin. But the second, omg the SECOND. So it's been this not so secret wish that I totally want an AU of Toda Erika and Aragaki Yui as rock stars, potentially working together and not liking each other. All spurred on by some magazine shoots (which more than likely, you guys will be seeing tmr). I already got Nikki to once write me a little bit of it where she focused on Nakamaru FANGIRLING. (Which, love.) Peyton wrote THIS AWESOME DRABBLE THAT I LOVELOVELOVE. She also pulled in her theory of Yamapi's Loveless PV . ;alskdjflakdjflkjad Guys, so much love. (it's locked btw.) there should totally be more. hinthint.
- I FINISHED MY SCIENCE FINAL TODAY. It was my first and only written final so GOD, I'm ridiculously happy it's over. I studied like a few minutes for it, but basically did no work. lol hopefully it'll all turn out all right. but I fucking got a 90 on the damn presentation so you know what? I don't care so much. I only have one paper left that's due next week so this weekend? I AM RELAXING. and possibly cleaning my room because i have been neglecting it. lol
